(Annual) Business Review?

How often do you review your Business &/or Business Plan?

Well, there is no right or wrong answer to either question!

The key is to review progress regularly and take appropriate action or make necessary changes.

So, what does or should that look like?

When?

Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Annually??

At least Quarterly and have a full review against Plans/targets/Forecasts

Review Cash Flow Forecast Weekly!

Annually, repeat the Quarterly review, but with a full set of Accounts + Balance Sheet and P & L.

What?

Cash Flow. Compare Actuals against Forecast

Need to know what’s in the Bank Account

Keep a close eye on Costs and Expenses

Review Sales forecasts

Make changes or adjustments if necessary

Review Sales against Client Turnover

Actuals against Forecast, and make appropriate changes if necessary

Review Balance Sheet and P & L. Make appropriate changes &/or update Forecasts

With whom?

Your team, your Board or your Trustees

Possibly your Accountant

Your Accountability Partner (ie a Third Party)

……..Otherwise, it will just be YOU!
